I'm just learning how to fool around on Facebook and am frankly a bit stunned by two things.

First. It's so public! You can glean so much information about people you love, hate, love-to-hate, want-to-forget and every other variety in between.

And second. So many people have so much personal information on it! Aren't you scared?

Orkut's pretty much the same in terms of what people put up. But I guess the facebook fever, and multiple apps make it much more sticky.

BTW, if you have some time checkout :-).. It's done by a friend of mine...

Btw, your Facebook profile could be found by a search on Google, if you do not change the necessary setting within Facebook. Go to the privacy setting for search and change the setting where it says, you want be found on search networks.

The option was introduced lately Google and it has already indexed some of them.

Facebook gives enough controls on the visibility of your profile/network when compared to Orkut.

Hey Geek, I'll check out and
Neodawn - Thanks a million for this. I will do that.

Precisely why I dropped out from Facebook, after the initial induction - I dont want everyone I know to know who else I know!
