I went into peels of laughter after dinner today. Just before picking up her plate, my Danish host Esben Ihle asked his wife Helle, "Are you finish?"
Her reply, "No, I'm Danish."
I laughed so hard I knocked my head on the chair next to me. I find many similarities between Danes and Indians and one of them, perhaps the most important one, is that we laugh at the same things.

Alaphia,
A PICTURE IS WORTH THAN A THOUSAND WORDS.Denmark is one country in the world which can be singled out for the pictureseque postcard beauty of its flora & fauna.
Your Danish reports filled with photographs of the Culture & Daily Lifestyles of the Danes would be more lively to read on.
Denmark has one of the world's highest standards of living. Danes pay high taxes, but the government uses the money to provide many social benefits such as free health care- which way back in India would be a distant dream.
And lastly Alaphia-don't forget to savour the famous Danish Cookies while enjoying the scenic beauty of Denmark.
Happy Holidays.......
Hahaha! That was a good one! Does your head still hurt?
Sounds like you're having a pretty good trip. Keep writing.
And don't forget me windmill!!
Cheers,
Ash
Hey, good to know that you r in Denmark now..have fun...
Remember, when you came down to Port Blair for the first time i was saying something about "Monika" (MONIKA- hope u remember..shhhhh secret) i said
“She does not thrust me at all”. I still remember your confused face, you was trying all combinations of words to read me. Then I tried to help you with synomyms “thrust …thrust….believe” and that day you laughed like anything. Those were really golden days. Like that in many occasions I saw you, I heard you laughing, laughing like a kid, but one thing I never told you is, you leave every beauty of this world far far behind when you laugh. So keep laughing yaar, it gives life to many. Hope to hear you "laughing" again in my Tuntunia (mobile) or atleast in Laghu Sandesh Seva Chutkulay (SMS Jokes). errr......
Corrigendum: Please read the word “beauty” as “horror show” and please read the sentence one again. The error is deeply regretted. :-)

kinda late i guess, but better late than never... i am the guy who penned the letter addressed to the president when the VC of anna univ came up with his stupid rules.. I never figured out how the letter issue was leaked to the media, but in the end i guess it worked in our favor - well atleast partly (considering the damn rules r still in place). was reading up abt the latest developments in that regard and stumbled upon ur blog... just thot ill say thanks :)
iv finished with my engg now and am currently studying in Ahmedabad.. sadly my bacth was not able to take the protest to higher levels (to be honest most of them dint care since they were anyways passing out). its kinda sad that things r the way they are, but i guess there s nothing to be done but wait for the man's tenure to end...
do visit my almost never updated blog if u feel like it - u can mail me at knittins@gmail.com
